California Support: Leisure Battery Quickly Discharging

Modified on Mon, 4 Nov at 10:39 AM

If you feel that your leisure battery is discharging very quickly, please observe whether the battery level has indeed significantly dropped in the morning. The displayed remaining runtime is not 100% reliable; for example, if you've recently turned on the refrigerator, the consumption at that moment is higher, and a shorter remaining runtime may be displayed. However, if the battery level has genuinely dropped overnight, and the bar indicator has significantly decreased, then please check the following:

  • Is there any cable plugged into an outlet that continuously draws power? Or are many devices left plugged into the outlets overnight while charging?
  • Is your water pump running continuously (you can hear a constant humming behind the kitchen block)? If yes, please refer to the article Water pump is running continuously.
  • Is the hot water boiler on? You can check this on the onboard computer.
  • Is it cold outside? Low temperatures also affect battery capacity; for example, at a temperature of -20 degrees, a car battery has only about 55% capacity.
  • A reset of the electronics could also be a solution to the problem; refer to this article: Hard Reset.
