If the water pump in your camper is running, indicated by a humming sound, but no water is coming out, follow these steps:
- First, check if no water is coming out of all faucets in the vehicle or only from the one you're currently using (kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, and the exterior shower).
- If water is not coming out of only one faucet, you can try triggering the system by simultaneously opening another faucet. This should usually restore water flow.
- If this doesn't help, you can check if the hose from the water tank is securely attached to the pump, as it may have slipped off.
- Open the hatch under the mattress behind the kitchen counter, then open the blue lid of the water tank and remove the lid by gently pulling on the hoses.
- If there is no pump attached to it, or if the black hose attached to the water pump is detached, it needs to be reattached to the lid; this is a simple plug connection. Sometimes, the black hose is attached to the lid but not to the water pump, so check this as well.
- If the hose is securely connected to the pump and the lid, and there is still no water, check if the hose is bent or kinked.
- Lastly, you can check if the pump might be clogged. In this case, lift the blue lid, unplug the pump, and inspect it for any blockages.
