Ocean Support: Water Pump

If the water pump in your Ocean is not working, then check the following:

Is the fresh water tank still sufficiently filled?

Do you hear a humming sound when operating the water tap at the sink?

If the pump remains silent despite the tap being on, it could be in emergency mode. Then, an error message should be displayed on the screen. By pressing and holding the black button, you can reset the system.

Check the RCD (Residual Current Device):

In the cabinet at the back, you will find the RCD. Please check if it is activated.

Release air from the pipes:

By simultaneously operating the outdoor shower and the kitchen tap, trapped air can escape. This step can help restore water flow.

Check the sensor and hose connections:

If you hear a humming sound, but no water is coming out, the hose might have slipped off the pump. Then, the pump should be checked. You can find the water tank in the cabinet at the back. Unfortunately, the water tank is difficult to open and requires special tools, so you will need to visit a VW workshop for this. If the pump does not make any humming sound, then please also visit a VW workshop.

Of course, if you feel confident in opening the tank, then check if the pump is fully submerged and all hoses are securely connected. A loosely connected hose can be quickly and easily reattached.
