Before using the water system in your 540 camper van, the fresh water tank must be filled. For hygiene reasons, we deliver the vehicles without a filled water tank.
Filling the Fresh Water Tank:
You can fill the fresh water tank from the outside of the vehicle using a hose:
You can check the current levels of the fresh and grey water tanks via the control panel located above the entrance door:
Activating the Water Pump:
To use the water system, you need to activate the water pump through the display. Please remember to turn the pump off after use, as it could be damaged if left running.
Troubleshooting Water System Issues
If the water system is not functioning properly, please follow these steps:
Check Fresh and Grey Water Tanks: Ensure there is enough fresh water, and the grey water tank is not full.
Verify Power Supply: Make sure the power is turned on, as the water pump only operates with power.
Test the Faucets: Open both the kitchen and bathroom faucets to see if water is flowing or if there is a leak somewhere.
Check the Pump for Noise: Listen for a humming sound from the water pump. If there is no sound, the pump may be faulty or a fuse may have blown. Check the fuse as described below. If you hear a humming noise but no water is flowing, check if the pump has come loose from the hose.
Checking the Pump:
To check if the pump is still connected to the hose, unscrew the red cover under your bed and verify that the pump is still attached to the hose.
Check the Water Pump Fuse:
If the water pump is not humming, check the corresponding fuse. You can find it by lifting the mattress behind the bathroom:
If the fuse has blown, you can purchase a replacement fuse at a hardware store or gas station. Please keep the receipt so we can reimburse you.
5. Pump Runs Continuously:
If the pump runs continuously, turn off the entire camper unit for a few minutes, then turn it back on. Make sure all faucets are completely closed.

Important:
To avoid damage to the vehicle’s electrical system, always turn off the ignition, lights, and all electrical devices, and remove the key from the ignition before changing a fuse.
Replacing a fuse with one of a higher amperage can cause damage to other parts of the electrical system.
Open fuse boxes must be protected from dirt and moisture, as both can cause damage to the electrical system.
