If you feel that your awning isn't securing properly, check to ensure the lever is pushed up far enough.
Lever up = Leg telescopes are securely locked (the lever should be slightly angled upwards for this).
There is a fair amount of resistance initially, but gently pushing the lever upwards won't cause any damage.
