If your gas cylinder runs out of gas during your trip, you can exchange it or have it refilled. Please keep the receipt so that we can reimburse the costs after your trip.
In Germany, you can easily exchange or refill the gas cylinder at gas stations, hardware stores, garden centers, or traditional gas suppliers.
If you are traveling in another European country, there may be different connection systems and gas cylinders. We have tried to gather the most important information for you here.
In advance, please note that some European countries have different standards for connections, so it may be necessary to carry an adapter to refill or exchange the cylinder. We recommend that you get an adapter before your trip to be well-prepared during your journey. You can easily order such adapters online or purchase them in camping accessory shops. Since we allow our customers to choose their travel destinations, we cannot anticipate all circumstances and therefore cannot reimburse the cost of such an adapter.
Another information that can sometimes lead to confusion is the difference between propane and butane gas. Both gases can be used in our campers without any issues. The difference lies in their ignition points and chemical composition. Propane gas is more commonly used in northern European countries, especially in colder temperatures, as it is more stable. For this reason, you may find gas cylinders with butane gas in southern, warmer countries.
