Sylt Support: Water Leakage Under the Vehicle

Modified on Fri, 23 Aug at 2:06 PM

If you notice water leaking from your vehicle, please follow these steps to check if the fresh and grey water tanks are properly sealed.

For the fresh water tank, enter the vehicle and remove the cover located between the kitchen unit and the rear seat bench. Then, check if the grey valve is closed.

Additionally, you can inspect the grey water tank and the frost guard. Your Sylt vehicle has two external hatches. Behind the right hatch is the toilet cassette, and the left hatch contains the water system.

In the water system hatch, there is a red button used to empty the grey water tank (1). Please check if this button is pushed up, indicating that the grey water tank is closed.

If water continues to leak, it may be due to the frost guard (2) being triggered. This safety mechanism activates at low temperatures to prevent the pipes from freezing. The frost guard has a blue switch that you need to turn 90 degrees, then press the blue button on the front to reactivate it and reseal the boiler, as shown in the illustration.

Also, please check if the red lever (3) is in the closed position, as depicted in the image.
