Wales Innovan Support: Gas Stove

Modified on Fri, 1 Mar at 2:35 PM

If the gas stove in your camper isn't working, there are several things you might check. First, head over to the trunk to inspect the gas bottle:

Have you turned on the gas bottle?

Did you press the black venting button?

You need to press this button on the hose of the gas bottle several times firmly. Often, you'll hear the air escaping.

Was the crash sensor triggered?

A gas crash sensor is installed in the vehicle, which might activate, for instance, if you drive over a significant bump. If this happens, you'll need to push back in the yellow pin that has popped out to return the gas system to normal operation.

Is the gas safety switch, found under the rear seat, turned on?

Is there enough gas left in the bottle? If the gas stove won't ignite, the gas bottle might be empty. Lifting the bottle briefly can give you a good idea of its level. If the bottle is empty, you can refill or exchange it at a hardware store or a camping supply shop. Don't forget to keep the receipt if you wish to claim a refund from us.
