Autark with a Camper?

Modified on Mon, 24 Jun at 11:00 AM

Autark camping means being completely independent of external supply networks for electricity, water, and sewage. If you're wondering how long you can stay self-sufficient with your rented camper, it depends on the power, water, and gas supply, as well as your consumption habits.

Battery Capacity

With a 100 Ah battery, you can be self-sufficient for about 1.5 to 2 days with a daily consumption of approximately 40-60 Ah. If your camper has a solar panel, you can extend this duration.

Water

The duration of water self-sufficiency depends on the size of the water tank and your water consumption.

Gas

A full gas bottle lasts between one week and three months, depending on consumption and the size of the gas bottle. This also depends on whether your camper has a gas heater, a gas-powered fridge, and how often you use the cooker.

In our camper comparison article, you can find detailed information on the sizes of the water tanks, gas bottles, and battery capacities of our vehicles. This way, you can choose the right camper for you and optimally plan your self-sufficient adventures.
