Flat Tire

Modified on Wed, 8 Jul at 11:01 AM

A flat tire can also happen while you are on the road.

If you have a compressor on board, please first try to inflate the tire again, provided it is safe to do so. The aim is to be able to drive independently to the nearest workshop.

At the workshop, the first step should be to check whether the tire can be repaired. If the damage is too extensive and the tire cannot be repaired, an identical tire must be fitted. This means the same brand and the same type of tire, for example summer tires or all season tires.

If you are no longer able to drive independently to the nearest workshop, please call the assistance number of the respective vehicle manufacturer, for example Fiat, Citroën, Ford, Opel or VW. You can find the relevant phone number either in the sun visor or online.

If you are a member of ADAC, ACE or another roadside assistance service, you can also contact them. In many cases, they may be able to help more quickly. Please note, however, that we cannot cover costs for external roadside assistance services without prior approval.

If you have booked the Basic or Advanced protection package, you are responsible for the costs of repairing or replacing the tire yourself.

If you have booked the Premium protection package, please inform us by email whether the tire needs to be repaired or replaced. Please also send us the corresponding cost estimate as soon as you have arrived at the workshop. We will then review the next steps.
